Pasminco claims management transferring to icare 

Pasminco is an insolvent former workers compensation self-insurer and its liquidator has been working with relevant entities to transfer Pasminco’s tail liabilities to Insurance & Care NSW (icare).

From 9 December 2022, workers compensation claims for Pasminco’s former self[1]insurance licenses are transferring from Pasminco to icare. Further detailed information can be found below regarding this transfer. 

Which Pasminco claims are transferring? 

The Pasminco Companies are former self-insurers that held licenses issued by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) and its predecessors. From 9 December 2022, claims for Pasminco Australia Limited and Pasminco Cockle Creek Smelter Pty Ltd transfer to icare.

What does this mean for you?

If you have a claim or have been involved in providing treatment and/or services related to a former Pasminco employee, management of the claim will transfer to icare from 9 December 2022. 

Important changes to invoicing 

From 9 December 2022, please ensure that all invoices are addressed to icare and include the relevant claim number and ABN 83 564 379 108. icare has been provided with outstanding invoices previously issued to the Pasminco Companies and will remediate any outstanding payments as quickly as possible after the transfer date.
